There are many times in our lives when we come across situations that bring forth answers to understanding why we are a certain way. Relationships, for example, have a way of bringing out the best and the worst in us.
It is important to observe any patterns we keep re-living in each experience with others and question why we think situations are repeating themselves at different times of our lives. One of the major reasons why we re-live experiences that cause us pain is because we do not allow things to take place in a natural flow.
We are so preoccupied with taking control that we prematurely abort relationships before they even have a chance to emerge or on the contrary, we rush into relationships because we don’t like to be alone. This need to control the direction of any relationship is nothing more than the reflection caused by fear; whether is the fear of getting hurt or the need to always have someone by our side for the fear of being alone and having to face ourselves.
Guarding our heart is just a defense mechanism, a way to push people away before they get too close; We’ve all had our hearts broken at some point in our life causing us to create a very thick protective wall to guard our most precious and vulnerable organ….our heart. But the reality is that no matter what the circumstances are, we have to realize that unless we fully release the fear caused by past experiences and learn how to embrace and love ourselves unconditionally, we will never give the chance to anyone to fully be a part of our life in a meaningful way. Because we cannot give to anyone what we don’t give to ourselves.
Understanding that this protective wall can be broken down is the first step in the right direction to healing our emotional state, the second step is to go back to the past and identify the cause of our emotional blockages; asking ourselves what is it about previous experiences that we still carry within? What is it that doesn’t allow us to fully connect with others in a trusting way? Why do we let go before giving anything a true chance of just being? Why are we so afraid to committing ourselves to anyone? Why can’t we just enjoy each experience as they come without worrying about the outcome?
Answering these questions with honesty can really help us realize why we have put up that protective wall around our heart, and it will also help us see with clarity how to heal those past wounds so that we can be open and free to embrace, love and enjoy without hesitation all the relationships that we will encounter throughout our lifetime.

Life...A journey full of passing clouds
Author
Karla Solano
Looking back at the road left behind, I have come to understand that our journey on this earth is like a picturesque scene from a Monet painting; a scene from nature where sometimes the sky could be clear and bright with no clouds to obstruct our visibility, it could also be sunny but full of puffy clouds forming beautiful shapes in the sky or it could be grey and gloomy full of a rainy tempest.
Each scene represents times in our journey when we encounter situations and people that bring a special energy to match our vibration at a specific moment in our lives. Just like a sunny day, there are people who come into our life to bring us a sense of clarity, a sense of joy and calmness; these people usually have a good heart and they come to show us that life is nothing more than a playground. A playground where we can get loose and be a child again without worries of any kind, allowing life to envelop our being into a state of complete ecstasy.
A sky full of cotton-like puffy clouds forming beautiful shapes represents the people in our lives that come to show us how unique we all are. Just as those puffy clouds form beautiful shapes so do the people in our life create a vast planet full of individual souls with distinct traits that make us special and one of a kind. We are all beautiful beings put together on this planet to interact and learn from one another; our unique traits and talents combined can make us stronger as a human race. But unless we unite to share our common ground, the potential to give love and accept one another, we will always remain separate thus obstructing the path to a united world full of peace and joy. Learning to embrace the different shapes of the puffy clouds in our journey is the beginning of an amazing experience that can bring forth unimaginable lessons of self discovery and growth.
The rainy tempest is just a shift of energy, there are people who come into our experience and turn our world upside down creating the appearance of chaos and turmoil. These situations bring about the worse in us. The tempest brings out all of our emotions sadness, anger, loneliness, depression, and a sense of losing control. The rainy tempest as dismal as it may appear can also bring about the hidden courage we carry within; for sometimes it isn’t until we hit rock bottom that we realize that a change in our lives needs to take place and as a sudden ray of light shines upon our existence, the sun comes back out shining brighter than it ever did before the tempest bringing a sky full of unlimited possibilities and new experiences to rejoice upon.
Life is just a sky full of passing clouds; and just as the clouds, people come in and out of our life to share a moment in time when we are aligned with a specific soul to fulfill a purpose in our own path or the path of the people we come into contact with. Each time a cloud passes through our journey it takes a piece of our soul…a piece of our soul that will no longer return, leaving an empty space to be filled by a new passing cloud in the journey called life.

Living without Resistance
Author
Karla Solano
As the days go by and life takes its course, we are faced with situations that could bring upheaval and discomfort in our lives causing us to feel out of place; thus bringing out emotional reactions from within our deepest core. During these times, it is important not to resist the situations because by doing so we can make the experiences more difficult for ourselves.
The best way to cope with the curve balls in our life is to allow them to unfold the way they do, observing calmly and accepting them for the lessons that they are bringing into our existence. I know how hard it is to do this since we are emotional beings and we are programmed at an early age to react and take control of every situation we encounter. But I have also been fortunate enough to see how life always comes full circle by fulfilling the purpose of its reason for being; the chaos in our lives always brings with it the lasting calmness after the storm.
Nothing in our existence takes place without having a special purpose, therefore why do we get so caught up and stressed out about not being able to control every aspect of our daily grievances? The answer is very simple. It’s because our ego’s defense mechanism is to resist the flow of our Divine guidance. Our ego always wants to control, loves drama and cannot conceive of the idea that our natural state of being is pure harmony and bliss. Therefore it creates ways to resist and block this well being from taking place, instead of just letting life take its course into a perfect state of being.
When we practice letting go of the resistance, we become free. Free of stress, free of emotional imbalance, free of control. We liberate ourselves to enjoy a life without expectations, open to receive what it has to offer. Life becomes a smooth sail and things just start falling back into place when we least expect it.
There is nothing more satisfying than seeing how all the pieces of the puzzle are always there, ready to be put back together when we allow the flow of life to freely move about our existence without us getting in our own way to a synchronized, blissful and perfect experience.
Practice the art of letting go of resistance; it is the most powerful tool we have in order to live a life full of love, harmony, and perfect order. Once you practice this way of living you will be amazed at the positive results and you will begin to feel a sense of gratitude and freedom that will allow you to be more connected to all that exists in a more conscious way.

Divine Guidance
Author
Karla Solano
I have come to the realization that we are definitely watched over by an amazing Loving and Wise Energy Force. It has dawned upon me that as each day brings a new quest, a new worry and a new lesson; it also brings with it all the solutions, the answers and the tools to be able to figure out our lives in a very smooth way. Nonetheless, we tend to focus on the troubles and the lack even though the answers to our troubles are always staring us in the face.
Having a deep sense of connection to this Divine source can open up doors that we never thought possible. The key is to have an open heart and be very observant to all the signs that come into our life. Signs and messages are constantly being sent to us in many forms everyday of our existence but it is up to us to recognize those hidden messages that give us the answers to our personal situations.
We get so blinded by our ego and the need to control every situation that we can’t see past our own limitations. Life is more than what we can see and feel with our physical senses; therefore, how can we be so close minded to think that we are on this vast planet alone with no one watching over us, to guide us in the right direction?
Limitation, lack and sickness are creations of the human mind and our ability to see ourselves separate from a Divine Source. Even though we continue to disregard the concept that there is a bigger Divine energy aiding us in our everyday experiences; this Divine force continues on sending us rays of light each day with the hope that one day we will wake up to an expanded state of consciousness, when we can finally connect with this Infinite source of Divine magnitude and power to be able to overcome any appearance of limitation in our life.
Faith is the most important tool we have and in order for the expression of the Divine to manifest in our life we must open our hearts and allow ourselves to receive the flow of this Divine energy; without faith our lives are dull, meaningless, full of despair and limitations.
Why not start today to connect with this Infinite source which can only bring pure bliss, abundance, love, health, beauty and wisdom. Wouldn’t it be amazing to trust completely in the fact that it all takes care of itself in a graceful way and in alignment with what is best for us at any given moment?
So what is stopping you from accepting this reality into your world? Observe yourself and pay attention to any negative patterns and old habits that may be obstructing your connection and the path to the Infinite Source of all perfection and abundance.

Light Essence
Author
Karla Solano
Light is all around me…Filling me with love...
I feel your Presence in my existence, guiding me through each experience I endure... And I can’t help but feel joy as your essence surrounds my world.
I ask questions and you answer faster than a ray of light... Yet I still get amazed by the miracles you bring to me each day... I long for your connection with my higher state of being and I cannot ever imagine going back to the way it was... Before my Soul found your Divine Presence in this physical core.
I thank you for all the blessings and for the unity with my Soul...May the light you shine upon me give me the courage to move on to a higher state of consciousness as I fulfill my Soul’s Divine purpose on this globe.

The Power of the Spoken Word
Author
Karla Solano
Words have the ability to transform lives in unimaginable ways and yet we continue to use them without regards as to how powerful they can be. Words expressed in a kind manner can make us smile, change the way we see the world or simply give us hope and courage. In contrast, when words are used in an aggressive way they can shatter us into pieces, leaving us very vulnerable, insecure and broken hearted.
Learning to observe the way we use the power of language can be very beneficial in shifting our lives into a more positive experience. Just taking the time to think before expressing ourselves verbally can make a big difference in the turn out of our daily events.
We can simply start out by using positive words when referring to ourselves; how many times do we go through our day using negative labels and unkind words sharper than a double edge sword? Think about it! There are many times you call yourself stupid when you can’t figure something out or get mad at yourself and curse for not making the right decisions, or when unsatisfied by what the reflection in the mirror shows you, you instantly call yourself fat, ugly and send out unworthy and demeaning words that with their sharp edge just keep cutting deeper and deeper into the thin layer of your emotional well being.
Realizing that we can only do more harm than good when we express angry, demeaning and derogatory words is of utmost importance in aligning ourselves with the rest of humanity. We are all connected and everything we do whether good or bad affects the people around us; just as a pebble thrown in a river creates ripples in the water, so do our words cause an effect of great magnitude and it is up to us to make sure that ripple effect is a positive and meaningful one.
We have a lot of power within us but we don’t realize how one small kind word can make a person blossom into a beautiful rose and by the same token a word expressed with hate can damage a person’s soul. Just by touching someone’s heart in a positive way we can make this world go round in a more peaceful, loving and unifying way.
I urge you to consider yourself and others before using the sacred gift of the spoken word. Use this gift to express beauty, courage, love and forgiveness and keep in mind that everything you say and do has the power to change lives and transform this world into a better place. So don’t waste this amazing power in useless expressions of damaging thoughts.
The power is within all of us and together we can change the way we interact with each other one kind word at a time.

Gratitude for Life
Author
Karla Solano
Living life with gratitude can be very humbling and rewarding. Taking the time to actually notice how blessed we are to be alive, to be able to wake up every morning and enjoy a beautiful sunny day, or to be able to connect with people by just giving them a smile and make eye contact or exchange a kind word.
We get so hung up in the midst of the daily stress that we often forget how wonderful our lives really are. Days and nights go by sometimes and we don’t even realize how grey we have become inside, when we have stopped paying attention to the wonderful people and beautiful experiences the universe is constantly bringing to us. We tend to overlook those small intimate moments we have with our loved ones, with children or with our pets; small moments that cannot be measured by its size but by the magnificent power they have to make our worlds brighter with just a hug or a big laugh.
Life is a lot more than our material success and it is imperative for our own well being and personal growth to really focus on the non-material blessings that we encounter every day; because material possessions come and go but the treasure of a great friendship, the hug of a child, the smile of a person in need and the caring touch of our family are priceless and eternal.
I urge you to look within and all around you and really take the time to notice the wonderful gifts you have been blessed with, I assure you that in no time all the non-sense appearance of problems will slowly dissipate and just for one moment in time you will feel the freedom that comes from really feeling the joy of being alive.
