Patience

The definition of patience refers to the ability to tolerate and maintain serenity when faced with difficult situations or people. Now, we all know how hard this could be especially when the people we interact with on a daily basis have tough personalities.

I have found through personal experience, that the best way to deal with complicated individuals is to try to accept them for who they are, listen to what they have to say and take everything with a grain of salt. This is easier said than done, but maintaining a calm attitude towards people who give us a hard time is the only way to be able to manage a relationship with them without creating a chaotic experience in our lives.

There is a reason why these individuals are the way they are, and we have no idea what goes on in their lives that may cause them to be so unhappy and insecure. Instead of trying to resist these people, let’s try to understand them, and love them for who they are deep inside.

We are all connected in a much higher level; therefore we need to be able to see beyond their physical actions and realize that they too, are divine beings and whatever makes them so complex is due to the fact that they are also in a process of spiritual evolution just like you and I, so their actions may be a way to call attention to the lack of something in their lives, it could be lack of love, friends, or health.

Another reason why people may act difficult could be because of the way we are towards them, analyzing our actions could be paramount to figuring out why we don’t get along with others. The people around us are reflections of who we are inside; there are many things we have hidden within and the people around us tend to mirror the personality traits we despise about ourselves.

Whatever the cause may be its irrelevant, the important thing is to let go of our ego, be the bigger person and have patience with us and with others.

Patience is said to be a virtue, because it is one of the toughest things to have but it doesn’t have to be an impossible task to accomplish. We don’t have to like people’s actions or their attitudes, just allowing them to be without resistance, embracing them with a loving attitude is the only way we can be.

This loving and caring attitude will launch a wave of positive energy in our environment, and it won’t be long before we can start to notice that the lack of negative reaction from our part will only increase the chances for others to change for the better. Thus, enabling us to get along.
