Guarding our heart

Author
Karla Solano

There are many times in our lives when we come across situations that bring forth answers to understanding why we are a certain way. Relationships, for example, have a way of bringing out the best and the worst in us.

It is important to observe any patterns we keep re-living in each experience with others and question why we think situations are repeating themselves at different times of our lives. One of the major reasons why we re-live experiences that cause us pain is because we do not allow things to take place in a natural flow.

We are so preoccupied with taking control that we prematurely abort relationships before they even have a chance to emerge or on the contrary, we rush into relationships because we don’t like to be alone. This need to control the direction of any relationship is nothing more than the reflection caused by fear; whether is the fear of getting hurt or the need to always have someone by our side for the fear of being alone and having to face ourselves.

Guarding our heart is just a defense mechanism, a way to push people away before they get too close; We’ve all had our hearts broken at some point in our life causing us to create a very thick protective wall to guard our most precious and vulnerable organ….our heart. But the reality is that no matter what the circumstances are, we have to realize that unless we fully release the fear caused by past experiences and learn how to embrace and love ourselves unconditionally, we will never give the chance to anyone to fully be a part of our life in a meaningful way. Because we cannot give to anyone what we don’t give to ourselves.

Understanding that this protective wall can be broken down is the first step in the right direction to healing our emotional state, the second step is to go back to the past and identify the cause of our emotional blockages; asking ourselves what is it about previous experiences that we still carry within? What is it that doesn’t allow us to fully connect with others in a trusting way? Why do we let go before giving anything a true chance of just being? Why are we so afraid to committing ourselves to anyone? Why can’t we just enjoy each experience as they come without worrying about the outcome?

Answering these questions with honesty can really help us realize why we have put up that protective wall around our heart, and it will also help us see with clarity how to heal those past wounds so that we can be open and free to embrace, love and enjoy without hesitation all the relationships that we will encounter throughout our lifetime.

Life...A journey full of passing clouds

Author
Karla Solano

Looking back at the road left behind, I have come to understand that our journey on this earth is like a picturesque scene from a Monet painting; a scene from nature where sometimes the sky could be clear and bright with no clouds to obstruct our visibility, it could also be sunny but full of puffy clouds forming beautiful shapes in the sky or it could be grey and gloomy full of a rainy tempest.

Each scene represents times in our journey when we encounter situations and people that bring a special energy to match our vibration at a specific moment in our lives. Just like a sunny day, there are people who come into our life to bring us a sense of clarity, a sense of joy and calmness; these people usually have a good heart and they come to show us that life is nothing more than a playground. A playground where we can get loose and be a child again without worries of any kind, allowing life to envelop our being into a state of complete ecstasy.

A sky full of cotton-like puffy clouds forming beautiful shapes represents the people in our lives that come to show us how unique we all are. Just as those puffy clouds form beautiful shapes so do the people in our life create a vast planet full of individual souls with distinct traits that make us special and one of a kind. We are all beautiful beings put together on this planet to interact and learn from one another; our unique traits and talents combined can make us stronger as a human race. But unless we unite to share our common ground, the potential to give love and accept one another, we will always remain separate thus obstructing the path to a united world full of peace and joy. Learning to embrace the different shapes of the puffy clouds in our journey is the beginning of an amazing experience that can bring forth unimaginable lessons of self discovery and growth.

The rainy tempest is just a shift of energy, there are people who come into our experience and turn our world upside down creating the appearance of chaos and turmoil. These situations bring about the worse in us. The tempest brings out all of our emotions sadness, anger, loneliness, depression, and a sense of losing control. The rainy tempest as dismal as it may appear can also bring about the hidden courage we carry within; for sometimes it isn’t until we hit rock bottom that we realize that a change in our lives needs to take place and as a sudden ray of light shines upon our existence, the sun comes back out shining brighter than it ever did before the tempest bringing a sky full of unlimited possibilities and new experiences to rejoice upon.

Life is just a sky full of passing clouds; and just as the clouds, people come in and out of our life to share a moment in time when we are aligned with a specific soul to fulfill a purpose in our own path or the path of the people we come into contact with. Each time a cloud passes through our journey it takes a piece of our soul…a piece of our soul that will no longer return, leaving an empty space to be filled by a new passing cloud in the journey called life.

Living without Resistance

Author
Karla Solano

As the days go by and life takes its course, we are faced with situations that could bring upheaval and discomfort in our lives causing us to feel out of place; thus bringing out emotional reactions from within our deepest core. During these times, it is important not to resist the situations because by doing so we can make the experiences more difficult for ourselves.

The best way to cope with the curve balls in our life is to allow them to unfold the way they do, observing calmly and accepting them for the lessons that they are bringing into our existence. I know how hard it is to do this since we are emotional beings and we are programmed at an early age to react and take control of every situation we encounter. But I have also been fortunate enough to see how life always comes full circle by fulfilling the purpose of its reason for being; the chaos in our lives always brings with it the lasting calmness after the storm.

Nothing in our existence takes place without having a special purpose, therefore why do we get so caught up and stressed out about not being able to control every aspect of our daily grievances? The answer is very simple. It’s because our ego’s defense mechanism is to resist the flow of our Divine guidance. Our ego always wants to control, loves drama and cannot conceive of the idea that our natural state of being is pure harmony and bliss. Therefore it creates ways to resist and block this well being from taking place, instead of just letting life take its course into a perfect state of being.

When we practice letting go of the resistance, we become free. Free of stress, free of emotional imbalance, free of control. We liberate ourselves to enjoy a life without expectations, open to receive what it has to offer. Life becomes a smooth sail and things just start falling back into place when we least expect it.

There is nothing more satisfying than seeing how all the pieces of the puzzle are always there, ready to be put back together when we allow the flow of life to freely move about our existence without us getting in our own way to a synchronized, blissful and perfect experience.

Practice the art of letting go of resistance; it is the most powerful tool we have in order to live a life full of love, harmony, and perfect order. Once you practice this way of living you will be amazed at the positive results and you will begin to feel a sense of gratitude and freedom that will allow you to be more connected to all that exists in a more conscious way.

Divine Guidance

Author
Karla Solano

I have come to the realization that we are definitely watched over by an amazing Loving and Wise Energy Force. It has dawned upon me that as each day brings a new quest, a new worry and a new lesson; it also brings with it all the solutions, the answers and the tools to be able to figure out our lives in a very smooth way. Nonetheless, we tend to focus on the troubles and the lack even though the answers to our troubles are always staring us in the face.

Having a deep sense of connection to this Divine source can open up doors that we never thought possible. The key is to have an open heart and be very observant to all the signs that come into our life. Signs and messages are constantly being sent to us in many forms everyday of our existence but it is up to us to recognize those hidden messages that give us the answers to our personal situations.

We get so blinded by our ego and the need to control every situation that we can’t see past our own limitations. Life is more than what we can see and feel with our physical senses; therefore, how can we be so close minded to think that we are on this vast planet alone with no one watching over us, to guide us in the right direction?

Limitation, lack and sickness are creations of the human mind and our ability to see ourselves separate from a Divine Source. Even though we continue to disregard the concept that there is a bigger Divine energy aiding us in our everyday experiences; this Divine force continues on sending us rays of light each day with the hope that one day we will wake up to an expanded state of consciousness, when we can finally connect with this Infinite source of Divine magnitude and power to be able to overcome any appearance of limitation in our life.

Faith is the most important tool we have and in order for the expression of the Divine to manifest in our life we must open our hearts and allow ourselves to receive the flow of this Divine energy; without faith our lives are dull, meaningless, full of despair and limitations.

Why not start today to connect with this Infinite source which can only bring pure bliss, abundance, love, health, beauty and wisdom. Wouldn’t it be amazing to trust completely in the fact that it all takes care of itself in a graceful way and in alignment with what is best for us at any given moment?

So what is stopping you from accepting this reality into your world? Observe yourself and pay attention to any negative patterns and old habits that may be obstructing your connection and the path to the Infinite Source of all perfection and abundance.

Light Essence

Author
Karla Solano

Light is all around me…Filling me with love...
I feel your Presence in my existence, guiding me through each experience I endure... And I can’t help but feel joy as your essence surrounds my world.

I ask questions and you answer faster than a ray of light... Yet I still get amazed by the miracles you bring to me each day... I long for your connection with my higher state of being and I cannot ever imagine going back to the way it was... Before my Soul found your Divine Presence in this physical core.

I thank you for all the blessings and for the unity with my Soul...May the light you shine upon me give me the courage to move on to a higher state of consciousness as I fulfill my Soul’s Divine purpose on this globe.

The Power of the Spoken Word

Author
Karla Solano

Words have the ability to transform lives in unimaginable ways and yet we continue to use them without regards as to how powerful they can be. Words expressed in a kind manner can make us smile, change the way we see the world or simply give us hope and courage. In contrast, when words are used in an aggressive way they can shatter us into pieces, leaving us very vulnerable, insecure and broken hearted.

Learning to observe the way we use the power of language can be very beneficial in shifting our lives into a more positive experience. Just taking the time to think before expressing ourselves verbally can make a big difference in the turn out of our daily events.

We can simply start out by using positive words when referring to ourselves; how many times do we go through our day using negative labels and unkind words sharper than a double edge sword? Think about it! There are many times you call yourself stupid when you can’t figure something out or get mad at yourself and curse for not making the right decisions, or when unsatisfied by what the reflection in the mirror shows you, you instantly call yourself fat, ugly and send out unworthy and demeaning words that with their sharp edge just keep cutting deeper and deeper into the thin layer of your emotional well being.

Realizing that we can only do more harm than good when we express angry, demeaning and derogatory words is of utmost importance in aligning ourselves with the rest of humanity. We are all connected and everything we do whether good or bad affects the people around us; just as a pebble thrown in a river creates ripples in the water, so do our words cause an effect of great magnitude and it is up to us to make sure that ripple effect is a positive and meaningful one.

We have a lot of power within us but we don’t realize how one small kind word can make a person blossom into a beautiful rose and by the same token a word expressed with hate can damage a person’s soul. Just by touching someone’s heart in a positive way we can make this world go round in a more peaceful, loving and unifying way.

I urge you to consider yourself and others before using the sacred gift of the spoken word. Use this gift to express beauty, courage, love and forgiveness and keep in mind that everything you say and do has the power to change lives and transform this world into a better place. So don’t waste this amazing power in useless expressions of damaging thoughts.

The power is within all of us and together we can change the way we interact with each other one kind word at a time.

Gratitude for Life

Author
Karla Solano

Living life with gratitude can be very humbling and rewarding. Taking the time to actually notice how blessed we are to be alive, to be able to wake up every morning and enjoy a beautiful sunny day, or to be able to connect with people by just giving them a smile and make eye contact or exchange a kind word.

We get so hung up in the midst of the daily stress that we often forget how wonderful our lives really are. Days and nights go by sometimes and we don’t even realize how grey we have become inside, when we have stopped paying attention to the wonderful people and beautiful experiences the universe is constantly bringing to us. We tend to overlook those small intimate moments we have with our loved ones, with children or with our pets; small moments that cannot be measured by its size but by the magnificent power they have to make our worlds brighter with just a hug or a big laugh.

Life is a lot more than our material success and it is imperative for our own well being and personal growth to really focus on the non-material blessings that we encounter every day; because material possessions come and go but the treasure of a great friendship, the hug of a child, the smile of a person in need and the caring touch of our family are priceless and eternal.

I urge you to look within and all around you and really take the time to notice the wonderful gifts you have been blessed with, I assure you that in no time all the non-sense appearance of problems will slowly dissipate and just for one moment in time you will feel the freedom that comes from really feeling the joy of being alive.

Vibrating Energy

Author
Karla Solano

We are Divine energy radiating through our being, life is pulsing through our cells and everything we do has a magnetic force that attracts the same vibration into our lives.

The vibrating energy within us when it is a positive one it will attract a magnetic field of unlimited Divine love, perfection, abundance, peace, health and well being. In contrast, when our vibrating energy is one of worry, fear, resentment, anger and depression it will attract more of the same; causing our existence to seem out of control and full of obstacles.

It is imperative to maintain a balanced vibration within in order to attract those things and people which can bring a positive experience into our worlds. The more we are attuned with the positive vibrations in our existence, the less resistance we experience from our physical reality.

Life is full of infinite Divine perfection that can be brought to manifestation in our everyday lives, but we obstruct our own abundance with the vibrating energy of lack and limitations. And unless we change the way we view our own existence, we will never allow this Divine abundance to enter into our lives.

We have the power to attract anything we want in our lives as long as it is aligned with our feelings of well being and perfection. The key is to observe ourselves and focus on the things and people who make us happy, focus on the blessings and not the lack, live with gratitude and joy, and learn to appreciate each day for the wonderful “present” that it brings with it.

We are such powerful beings full of Divine energy so let’s not waste it by living in fear and despair; Because no matter how tough life becomes we can always find more than one reason in our lives to be grateful for.

Grounding through nature

Author
Karla Solano

Life experiences tend to take us in a roller coaster ride of emotions and it can be very easy to lose ourselves in the midst of all the emotional battles. However, I have found it very useful and nurturing to ground myself by connecting with nature.

We can learn so much from nature by just sitting in a park, observing and breathing the fresh air that it has to offer. It is extremely powerful to sit under a tree with your back reclined on its trunk while caressing the grass below your feet and hands; closing your eyes and allowing the wisdom and purity of nature to envelop your being. Connecting with trees is of utmost importance because they radiate strength, beauty, life, inner power and grounding energy.

Trees carry wisdom within, they have lived many years through different climate and environmental changes and yet they remain strong, mighty and standing tall ready to show us how we can become as grounded as they are no matter how tough the circumstances around us become.

Our well being is deeply connected with all that exists and it is a magnificent gift to be able to sit back and allow nature to embrace us with its beauty. I recommend you take time from your busy schedules to sit at a park at least once a week and really let go of your thoughts, just feeling, absorbing and listening to the amazing beauty that is contained all around you; allowing the breeze of the wind caress your skin as the magnificent symphony of the birds singing transports you to a higher state of consciousness.

I guarantee you that once you connect with nature in this way; you will begin to feel a sense of belonging, peace and bliss that can only be given by becoming one with all that exists.

Soul Searching....Following the Love Path

Author
Karla Solano

My Soul longs for all the answers…So many questions unanswered…. The mysteries are many and the pathways are endless….Which is the right one I question? Or does it really matter is my suggestion? All the messages are the same, disguised by different doctrines and domains… The underlying message is all the same…Love, Peace and compassion they all teach…For these are the three truths we must live by in order to make our world a better place to be in…..

There is not one path better than the other to guide us back to the One Divine…For He created us with freedom of choice, therefore let’s not get hung up on which road is right or wrong… For all the paths we choose to take will lead us back to the Divine source….

Although the paths are many and the choices are endless...There is only one real truth that connects us all…and that is…LOVE.

Love is the truth that will set us free… Love is the antidote to all of humanity’s diseases and war….Love is the truth by which we should abide by…For there is no darkness where Love exists…There is no sadness, nor hunger, nor suffering if we are open to give and receive Love in an unconditional way.

Love is the cure to human’s social behavior; Love is the ONE truth that can unite us as a human race…For where there is unity there is no despair.

My Soul longs for the day when we can all see the beauty that’s hidden within, the beauty and perfection that has no skin color, social status, nor religious belief…The day when we can remove the veil that blinds us and hides our Real Divine essence, is the day when we will set our souls free…

We still have time to repair all the damage we have caused to ourselves and our earth….So let’s gather together and start living this one truth…Living in Unison to becoming whole again in Divine love, peace and compassion…..No matter which road we decide to follow…they all will lead us back to One Divine Source.

Love beyond boundaries

Author
Karla Solano

There are not enough words in our modern vocabulary to explain the kind of love I am about to discuss. From the moment we were conceived, our creator assigned a guiding light to each one of us, these guiding lights as we commonly call angels, are by our side 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

They share every minute of our existence making sure we are well taken care of. And yet we go about our daily routine unaware of their existence feeling as though we are independent from the universe.

So we go on with our lives day in and day out not realizing that every time we get a gut feeling that makes us take a different turn to avoid a terrible car accident, or perhaps whenever we are having a bad day we get an unexpected phone call from an old friend who lifts up our spirit, a little miracle is taking place.

Our angels with their unconditional love protect us and send us rays of light all the time but we disregard them as coincidences or just fate. The truth of the matter is that the love angels have for us has no boundaries; their love for us does not discriminate, it knows no race, no social status, no political or religious views, no matter if we are a criminal or the best Samaritan in the world, angels love us unconditionally, with a great sense of purity, tenderness and compassion.

These beautiful guiding lights are the true essence of God’s love manifested in our physical plane, they are the path to the infinite and we can have a strong connection with them if we choose to recognize their existence in our worlds. But because of the free will God granted us, angels cannot manifest their presence to us unless we call upon them and choose to establish a relationship with them. Free will only lets them come to us in an extreme live or die situation and they can send us rays of light and love in the hopes that we, someday awaken to their truth and pure loving guidance.

It is amazing to know that we have these beautiful loving energies surrounding our existence and yet we are so blinded by our logical minds to recognize and accept that they truly exist. I must tell you that once you connect with their infinite loving presence, life will never be the same. All of a sudden you will awaken to a new reality of pure love, joy and harmony; feeling at ease knowing that we have something so powerful around us making sure we are on the right track.

I invite you to establish a connection with your guiding lights and discover a life full of daily miracles. Yes, daily miracles take place every second of our days once we connect with our angels; they take care of every little thing if we ask them to. That is their reason for being, to assist, guide and enlighten us, to show us the way to living a life in union with our divine essence.
Don’t hesitate to call upon them for help; they are patiently waiting for you to acknowledge their presence.

Ways to communicate with your angels

1)Pray or meditate and tell your angels how thankful you are for their assistance during all of these years and tell them how much you love them.

2)Express to them how you would like to establish a true conscious connection with them and to assist you in opening your heart to receiving their daily messages and guidance.

3)Be very specific describing the kind of help you need and be willing to receive their guidance without judgment or self doubt.

4)Keep a daily journal and write the questions you would like answered by them, you will soon get the answers either through dreams, through people giving you advice or subliminal messages taking place in your daily routine. Pay attention because the messages are everywhere but you need to be aware so you don’t miss them.

5)Be open to having extraordinary things take place in your life. Because once you open the doorway to this heavenly realm, life will be full of wonderful gifts and miracles.

The gift of Womanhood

Author
Karla Solano

Looking at my life I cannot imagine experiencing life in any other way but as a woman. And although sometimes the road can be more challenging because women are still viewed as the “weaker” sex, even in today’s society, I refuse to accept any less respect than men do.

We live in a Patriarchal society where men are viewed as the leaders because of the way they seem to have everything under control from a logical point of view. However, this attitude is fueled by insecurity and fear towards a much more powerful sex – womanhood.--

For centuries, women have been cast out of society if they expressed too much knowledge, power or if they were too connected with their intuitive nature. Why do you think that is? Because the only way to maintain the Patriarchal leadership is by suppressing and keeping under control the more sacred sex, therefore demeaning our existence on this planet. We live in the 21st century and although things have come a long way from the way they were 100 yrs ago, we still are oppressed in many ways in all different cultures. But all of this can change if we unite to make this world a better place to be.

Being a woman is the most amazing experience in the world because we are not afraid to give ourselves completely to any cause, we love unconditionally without regrets and without fear of expressing how we feel, our care taking and nurturing ability makes us loved by our children and the people in our lives. There is no comparison to how the love of a mother is far more powerful and healing than that of a father; we can move mountains because we follow our heart and not our logical minds. Living from the heart gives us the strength to overcome any obstacles that come our way and our subtle and soft caress can transform the lives of anyone we come into contact with. We are the bearers of life, and without our existence life on this planet would not be conceived.

We are far more in tune with who we really are because we pay attention to our intuition, which guides us in making the choices in our daily lives. Our power is not a power known in this physical reality; it comes from a Divine expression of life force and unparalleled love, we as women are the representation of the Divine cosmic Mother here on earth and as such we hold the key to transforming this world into a paradise.

Women represent the sacred feminine power on this planet which is the key to spiritual awakening for our world. We have an important mission which is to spread unconditional, selfless love to human kind; and it is our responsibility to maintain the torch of peace and freedom of expression alive so we can carry out the Divine message through our hearts and touch the lives of millions with our strength, tenderness, compassion and forgiveness.

The question becomes are you ready to walk into the life you were born to live? Expressing your true powerful nature to create a world where there is no you and me just “WE”, co-creating with our Divinity to live in unison with men without division of sexes just living in complete wholeness as ONE? This is a very crucial mission to the existence of our planet. Without this unification of the feminine and the masculine essences our planet will be destroyed and with it our entire race.

I send this message out to all the women who with their innate power to change our existence on this planet are willing to unite with me in this mission of love, forgiveness, freedom of oppression and compassion to touch the lives of others one person at a time until all souls are elevated to a higher state of expanded consciousness, until our entire human race communes as ONE.

A poem to the Divine Mother

Author
Karla Solano

Oh Divine essence of love… you ignite my world with light and joy… I love thee for you bring me hope, when the world around me seems to fall down upon all. I embrace your grace and radiant glow because without you this world would self destruct.

Your compassion is as vast as the ocean that surrounds our earth…and if it weren’t for your forgiveness our lives would be a dead end. I thank you for your subtlety and soft caress, for bringing peace and balance in such a decaying earth.

Your presence is felt each day.....when a mother gives her unconditional love to children on earth. You are represented by every nurturing, loving and compassionate being on this world…whether male or female…that is not the point.

You represent the union between the logic mind (masculine) and the emotional essence (feminine) and to you there is no distinction between one or the other…they are just ONE. Perfectly aligned and integrated to complete a Whole.

May your wisdom be showered upon all who are ready to receive your gift of union and love…for this world’s only chance to save itself it’s by becoming one with all that it contains. And for as long as we continue to alienate ourselves from one another...we will keep missing the chance to live a peaceful and loving existence on this earth.

I ask of thee to guide my way so that I can be a beacon of your light on earth… Give me the strength and courage to stand up for what I believe so that I am able to bring the truth of your essence back to each soul on this physical plane….

Shifting Energies

Author
Karla Solano

Our life like the wind is in constant movement. This movement of energy is necessary to ensure that our personal growth is in a continuous path of renewal, without this process our lives run the risk of becoming stagnant and limited.

There are many times in our lives when we feel as though we cannot catch a breath because of all the curve balls that seem to come in our direction at once causing our worlds to appear in a state of chaos and imbalance; It almost feels as if we can hardly grasp some air to fully recover from one chaotic experience before facing another.

During times like these it’s important to note that all of these “chaotic” experiences as difficult as they may appear are really happening to push us into a new direction that can bring us many blessings and growth.

We as human beings, tend to become comfortable in our everyday existence and most of the time we become so used to our environment that we cause our own energy to become still and limited. It becomes a habit to keep a routine because it makes us feel safe and in control; but the truth of the matter is that we could be hindering our own progress because of the fear of stepping out of our comfort zone.

One thing that I have noticed through personal experience is that just when I think I am at a good point in my life, something will occur to bring change into my existence. At first this used to get me very upset because I felt as though the Universe was being cruel to me but as the years have gone by and I have learned to observe why things happen the way they do, I have realized that we are connected with the Universe and all that is contained within it and no matter how separate and independent of the world we think we are, everything is taking place for our well being.

The Universe is working in our benefit, therefore it will cause the energies to shift and create waves of movement that can appear chaotic but in reality they are just cleansing our existence and breaking away old energies to make room for the new ones to fill our world.

There is not one drop of rain that falls from the sky without having a reason for being, everything is in perfect alignment and the shift of energies are a primordial part of our existence. Learn to embrace all the situations that come to your world and realize that everything is in its perfect place; life is already taken care of by a higher force that knows what’s best for us before we can even catch a glimpse of it.

Trust that everything is working to our advantage whether we realize it or not. The bigger picture is hard to see when we are going through our everyday turmoil but have faith in the fact that we have a higher power looking after our well being, who has a great view from up above and can see what is the best path for us to follow.

Inner Knowing

Author
Karla Solano

The path to self discovery is a rocky road to follow; it takes a lot of patience, self discipline and perseverance. But once you find yourself and reach a higher state of awareness, there is nothing that can take away all the inner joy, peace and self love that this inner knowing brings.

Our everyday life tends to distract us from the infinite connection with our inner guidance; therefore it is imperative to take time out from our busy schedules to fully engage in strengthening this higher connection with the universe and with all that is contained within it, so that we can become whole again.

Inner knowing not only brings bliss into our lives, but it also gives us a sense of assurance that everything is in place the way it needs to be, it gives us a feeling of being protected and taken care of. It is amazing but something magical takes place once we connect with our Divine self. Life becomes easier to deal with, we learn to observe situations and people before reacting irrationally, we become more receptive and accepting of others, and the need to judge ourselves and others dissipates.

Learning to trust our inner knowing is an essential part of our existence because it guides us in the right direction, and it helps us learn about ourselves. This process does not happen overnight however, we all have the power within us to reach the unparalleled infinite path to discovering our true divine nature. All we have to do is look within to find all the perfection we seek.

The only way to really find our true connection with the Divine is by making a conscious effort to let go of the control our egos long for; Unplugging completely from the daily noise by finding peaceful and quiet moments in our lives which can help us maintain a balanced and joyful existence.

All this inner knowing really means is that we as human physical beings need to learn how to get out of our own way and allow our Divine spirit to work through us so that we can live a healthier, peaceful and loving life. Our Divine essence is sitting there quietly waiting for the moment when we give ourselves permission to live in unison with our higher self.

This gift of inner knowing is very powerful and it can only bring forth emotional and physical healing as well as purity into our lives. So let’s begin to connect with our Divine essence so we can fully embrace our existence on this planet, in complete unison with one another.

The doorway to Heaven

Author
Karla Solano

Before I can even begin to write about this doorway, it is important to understand what heaven really is. No matter what religious doctrine we follow, we learn at a very early age about a heaven where we are supposed to go if we are good. We are taught about a heaven that is so far away from us that it is basically unreachable to human kind unless we lead a life without “sin.” And in the case we do “sin”, we have to make sure we repent before we die so we can guarantee a so called place in that heavenly realm.

Heaven is a lot more than just a place we go to when we die. Heaven is a higher realm of existence that is present in our lives every single minute of our being on this planet. Heaven is a higher state of consciousness, a place where we can connect with our higher self and the entire angelic realm whenever we want to find out all the answers to our everyday questions; all we need to do is just look within, ask and trust this inner guidance.

This Heaven is a sacred place where we can go to whenever we feel sad, happy, alone, worried, any time we feel out of place and whenever we want the truth to be revealed to us. We all have our own individual heaven which is as much a part of us as the air we breathe. This heaven is customized to fit our needs and to guide us in making the best choices that will benefit our personal growth and experiences.

You may ask yourself, where is this Heaven and why don’t I have it? Well this Heaven I speak of is embedded in the deepest fiber of our soul, it can be found in our hearts. The reason why we don’t see it is not because it’s not there, but because we as a human race have decided to close this doorway and pay attention to our external dense worlds.

We have become so consumed by materialism, greed, media obsession and selfish behavior, that we have altered our existence on this planet to be controlled by our minds and egos, instead of allowing our hearts and inner knowing to guide us in making our lives much easier to deal with.

Just imagine for a split second how wonderful it would be if we allowed our lives to be guided by this sacred heaven we carry within; if we just let go of the steering wheel and sat in the passenger seat of our lives and just allowed this inner knowing to softly take over and make the best decisions for us without suffering. Just letting it flow through us so we can have the most creative and beautiful ideas without any struggle.

It would be as easy as allowing the latest GPS system to take over when we are driving our cars, taking us in the right direction every time we set a new destination. Think about it! How easy have our lives become with this new GPS device? I for one love it. I could not imagine my life without it. Every time I want to go somewhere I have never been to before, I take my GPS, enter my destination and just trust that it will take the best route to get me to where I need to go.

That is exactly what our inner Heaven does for us. It takes the best route to get us to where we need to go, to meeting the people who are the best for our personal growth, to bringing situations in our lives that are perfect for every single one of us; without hesitations, without struggles, without fear, without anger, without pain. Everything just takes place as it should be effortlessly.

The doorway to heaven is the conscious expansion of our being, which can be reached through daily meditation. There is a misconception about meditation because most people think that they have to be into Buddhism or Hinduism and it is falsely believed that you must sit on a lotus position in order to meditate. But the truth is that no matter what religious background we come from, we can all take a few minutes of each day to sit quietly, undisturbed, focusing in our inner selves, just breathing rhythmically and filling our lungs with pure air, while connecting with nature. You can do this for just 5 to 10 minutes daily and you can begin to feel a deeper sense of belonging and connection to all that exists.

It is amazing how our lives begin to shift once we surrender to this infinite expansion of consciousness. Once you begin to feel the Divine vibrations and see how love and perfection are always working through us and around us, there is no turning back to the old, false connection to the material world. Once the doorway to heaven has been opened the possibilities to what can be possible are infinite and nothing will ever feel too big or too overwhelming to accomplish.

So now that we know what heaven is, let’s focus on how to connect to it and keep the doorway to this heaven opened to receive all the gifts it has for us. The following steps are tools that can help us keep centered and open to creating a deep connection with our inner heaven.

Steps to opening the doorway to heaven

1) Recognize that you are a divine being
2) Allow your inner wisdom to guide you by listening to your heart
3) Free yourself from judgmental behavior towards yourself and others
4) Live and love without physical, emotional and mental attachments
5) Let go of the need to control
6) Clear your emotional baggage
7) Meditate daily
8) Let go and Let God flow through your being

Forgiveness

Author
Karla Solano

Forgiveness is the process in which we finally let go of hatred towards a person who has harmed us in any particular way. This process is very important to our well being because it allows us to remove all the negativity that binds us to others, therefore freeing us from the pain resentment can cause.

Life has a way of challenging our existence by presenting situations where we have to make a strong and conscious effort to forgive people who frequently disturb our way of life. Sometimes, it becomes overwhelming to deal with people who are very selfish and who have no regards for others; and it may seem as though the universe is playing tricks on us always putting us to the test. But the reality is that every experience we go through brings an amazing potential for us to learn about ourselves and to grow as human beings.

It is important to realize that in order for us to lead a happy life; we need to forgive not only ourselves but also the people around us. The act of forgiving, releases our body from negative energies held inside of our being, clearing us from emotional blockages and allowing our soul to be free.

The world’s chaos is a manifestation of our inability to love and forgive one another, therefore creating separatism amongst the human race. Peace and change will only take place once we learn to have compassion for others, accept everyone as they are and when we start to forgive one another no matter how much pain people may have caused.

We are all part of a vast universe in which the interconnection between each other is beyond our comprehension and as long as we keep finding ways to alienate ourselves from one another, we will continue to create disorder and war. So let’s unite in love and forgiveness to heal this world once and for all.

Embracing Nature

Karla Solano

Taking a moment out of our busy schedules to set our minds at ease is of extreme importance for the development of our soul. One of the best ways to do so is by connecting with nature. Take a look around you and embrace all that is contained in your environment and discover how Mother Nature’s beauty surrounds your world filling it with joy, purity and beauty.

Close your eyes and listen to the sound of the wind as it caresses the leaves of the trees, making a heavenly sound of tranquility and freedom. Feel the warmth of the sun as it kisses your skin filling it with radiance, energy and life.

Listen to the choir of birds singing the most amzing symphony as they enjoy the sun rising every morning. Observe the synchronized dance in the sky as the birds move across the clouds, displaying a perfect choreographed performance. Get lost in the sky as the stars shining bright envelop your existence. Allow the light of the moon to shine upon your soul and show you the way into the magnificence of your inner beauty.

We are one with nature and everything we explore in nature is contained within us; therefore, the beauty you see in your external environment is already hidden in the deepest universe of your own soul. Explore nature and live consciously, making an effort to maintain its beauty intact. Take care of our beautiful planet, do not fill it with garbage and be conscious of how you stop the carbon foot print being left behind for the next generations to come.

Everything we do has an effect on our earth, no matter how insignificant you think it is it makes a big difference. Pay attention to your behavior towards our planet and be careful not to fall in the habit of living carelessly without regards for the environment, taking steps such as recycling, taking public transportation and saving water and energy are just a few things you can do to aid in making an effort to control all the damage we have already caused.

So next time you feel the need to dump that cigarette bud on the street as you finish smoking, or throwing the empty gum wrapper on the floor, Stop and think about all the damage you are causing to our beautiful planet.

Our existence on earth depends on how we treat it and no matter how much we try to overlook it; we are connected to it in infinite ways, and by destroying our planet we are hindering our own existence. It is true that our generation may not be able to see the magnitude of all the damage we have created but let’s make an effort to change the way we treat our earth so that the next generations to come can have a place to live in.

Emotional Barrier

Author
Karla Solano

There are many times in our lives when the personal experiences we go through, affect us in a way where our approach towards life and people changes, causing us to close ourselves up and put an emotional barrier between us and the people in our lives. This approach is unfortunate because we tend to stereotype everyone simply because we had a negative experience, but the truth of the matter is that we are all unique individuals and as such we all carry specific traits that make us different from one another.

We create this “barrier” because we feel that it will protect us from getting hurt again but the reality is that this wall is only obstructing our own lives; thus creating emotional unbalance. This emotional blockage tends to alter our behavior causing us to do things that are not part of our true nature, because somehow we convince ourselves that if we change the way we are we can obtain happiness and never experience the pain we did in the past. So we begin a journey where we live for the moment, our take on life becomes superficial and the bonding and committing to anyone on an emotional level becomes non-existent.

We in a way become cold, afraid to show any sign of emotion that can make us vulnerable. We allow people in and out of our lives without really giving them a chance to show us that they are not like the stereotype we have created in our minds. Therefore, it is very easy to retract and just walk away from circumstances and people without regards for their feelings towards us.

This emotional barrier that we work so hard to put up is not really protecting us; it is only isolating us from the world. While it can give us a false sense of control and detachment, it is simply stopping us from really expressing our true feelings because as soon as we get too close to others we run away. If you really analyze this behavior, we are really not running away from anyone else except ourselves. Running away only helps to get rid off the people who care for us and at the end of the day we still have to deal with our own internal roller coaster of emotions that we keep sweeping under a rug.

A life lived in fear of being too vulnerable hinders our personal growth & emotional well being. Fear not only impairs our judgment but it also creates a void in our hearts which can make us feel lonely and depressed at times when we least expect it. No matter how hard we try not to get attached to others, we are bound to feel a strong connection with specific individuals who can touch our hearts in a special way, and it wouldn’t be fair to pass up on the opportunity to experience a wonderful relationship just because we are afraid.

It is important to confront our fears and allow the heart to open up and express its true emotions, because not all of our everyday experiences are bound to be negative. There are good apples as well as bad ones but it is up to us to discern the truth that each lesson brings into our lives and be willing to accept the growing pains they may cause. So unlock your heart and release the need to obstruct the path that leads to unifying yourself with others in a higher level of existence. Allow love and forgiveness to enter into your life to free you from all the resentment and fears caused by past experiences.

Mindful Existence

Author
Karla Solano

We live in a society where people are so self absorbed by their own selfish way of living that often times they don’t realize that their actions are just a reflection of how lonely and empty their souls have become.

I find it hard to grasp the concept of using others as a way of personal entertainment and self satisfaction without taking into consideration the feelings of the people involved. How insensitive can people be? Have we lost complete touch of each other’s emotions that we just don’t care if our actions are affecting the people we interact with? Are we so out of touch with our true loving nature that we think it’s appropriate to treat others as though they have no hearts that can easily be broken? I just don’t get it. When did human race become so heartless?

Living life with total disregard for people’s emotions is just wrong and whether we want to accept it or not, this way of living eventually will catch up to us, causing us to one day look back at our lives and realize that all we have left behind is nothing more than the broken pieces of our own soul.

Everything we do to others comes back to us 10 times more intense than the original way in which we did it; so do we really want to live a life where the main purpose is our personal gratification, disrespecting others and breaking hearts, while pretending as though everything we do is ok as long as we are not the ones getting hurt? Think about it and really analyze the way you approach life and others.

We are all one and we are connected in every possible way. There is not one thing that we can say or do without causing a wave of action and emotions. Understanding that every cause has its effect, can allow us to try to live in a more mindful way, being conscientious in making an effort to treat others with love, kindness and respect, giving others the treatment we would like to receive.

Our life on this planet is short lived, time passes by very quickly and when we least expect it the years have gone by leaving behind only the lessons learned, the good and bad deeds we did, the memories, and our own reflection in the mirror. The reflection which will make us confront ourselves with all the regrets and guilt for all the damage we caused to others throughout the years; leaving us feeling anguish to have lived an empty and meaningless existence, at a point in our lives where it could be too late to reverse the damage caused.

Be mindful about other people’s feelings and learn to treat others the way you would like to be treated; keep in mind that the universal law will make sure the Karma we cause is balanced some way somehow; there is a Divine order to all that exists and since every action has a reaction, the karma has no other way to go but to go back to the original source that created it. So next time you feel the need to live life as though you are the only one that matters, remember that we are all one and everything you do will come full circle back to face you someday.

What is Love?

Author
Karla Solano

Love is an emotion that has the power to move mountains. This feeling can bring forth extreme happiness, peace and light into our lives. And it can also stop us short on our tracks when the feeling is not reciprocal.

Let’s study the truth behind this emotion. To begin with, there are many different kinds of love. There is the love a mother can give which is unconditional, selfless and forgiving; then there is the love we feel for our family members which is a strong bond that we develop from the moment we are able to interact with them; there is the love we feel for our close friends who are with us through our toughest times. And then, there is the love we feel for a significant other; the love that can make us feel as though we are walking on clouds, a love that can make us sing, cry and laugh with total ecstasy. A bond so strong that we feel paralyzed when we lose it.

Although all of these different kinds of love share the same essence of the feeling, all have different wavelengths of intensity and they affect our lives in different ways. For example, the love of a mother which is irreplaceable gives us security, kindness and warmth. The love of our siblings and family members can give us a sense of belonging, a feeling of sharing and togetherness. The love of our friends allows us to connect with others in a more intellectual and emotional level since the friends we choose usually share a common ground with us. And then we have the love we feel for the person we choose as our life companion; in this scenario the feeling of love becomes very complex causing us to become vulnerable because we get blinded by our emotions and most of the time lose ourselves in the relationships we are in.

Falling in love with another person is wonderful when the feeling is reciprocal; because when the connection we feel is strong, it can give us the unstoppable sense of triumph over any obstacles. Love is powerful this way, it can make us feel happy and elevated as though nothing can hurt us, and it can also turn our environment into a beautiful and peaceful place to be. On the contrary, when love fades away and it turns into hate, chaos and drama it can cause disease, depression and a sense of loss of the control we have over our existence.

It is important to maintain a balanced emotional state of mind and our individuality when we are in a relationship, so that when the love fades away or when the feeling we have for someone is not shared in the same way, our true essence stays intact. Thus, allowing us to live a happy and grounded life no matter what the circumstances are.

Loving ourselves unconditionally and allowing us to be the priority in any relationship is not only healthy but necessary in order to be able to truly love others. Without self love it is impossible to have a healthy relationship because we will only be able to give as much or as little as we give ourselves. This is why it is essential to be happy with who we are, be respectful to ourselves without judgment, and take care of ourselves first before attempting to be in a loving relationship with anyone else; doing otherwise, can obstruct our road to happiness and personal fulfillment leading us to cause our own demise.

So learn to love without boundaries but being cautious not to lose yourself in the shuffle, loving yourself first and making sure to keep your true essence intact and balanced so that love can be manifested at its maximum capacity.

Materialism

Author
Karla Solano

We live in a world where we as a human race are constantly chasing after materialistic dreams. Every step of our growing up has to do with competing and striving to be the best at everything we do, thus increasing our chances to be leaders and “making it” in our society. While there is nothing wrong with working hard and accomplishing our goals, it is important not to give too much value to our material possessions.

I know how great it is to get that promotion we worked so hard for, and getting that raise that enables us to buy our dream house and that car we always wanted; but focusing our attention on living just to acquire more and more material things can one day backfire leaving us empty and making us feel unsatisfied.

We need to be cautious of not to lose sight of what is real, such as cultivating meaningful friendships and relationships, living a humble life, appreciating everything we have, without being condescending towards others no matter what their social status may be, and keeping our integrity and honesty in a corrupt society. All of these attributes are detrimental to living a balanced life; doing otherwise, can make our existence on this planet very shallow and lonely.

I have found out through personal experience, that materialistic things are just that, matter occupying space that clutter our surroundings; after a while, we collect so much that we don’t even know how much we have. We keep buying things and forget about other precious items that we keep hidden in a closet accumulating dust. It becomes an obsession to buy things just to satisfy our ego, or to fill a void in our lives. Unfortunately, we use material things to give us the satisfaction a person or circumstances can’t.

Personal belongings can give us social status, and an instant gratification when we feel down, there is no doubt about that, but they will never replace the essential things that we as human kind need to survive; having the highest paying job can get us all the things we ever dreamt of but it will never buy us love and happiness.

Life can be very lonely if all we have is a huge, beautiful place to live in, with all the comfort and the most expensive things in it that you could ever imagine; but if all of the luxury in the world is contained within walls in a space where there is no one to love and to share it with, then all of the riches in the world can make us feel very poor at heart.

No matter how much money or luxury we have, it means nothing if we are alone. This is why it is important to focus on acquiring heavenly treasures instead of material possessions, because at the end of our existence all we take with us is the essence of our being, the good deeds we did while here on earth, the lessons we learned and how we changed ourselves and the world for the better.

Take time to be grateful for what you have and meditate on how you have lived your life. Has it been a life full of material accomplishments but with many failures on the personal level? Has it been a life lived with integrity and respect for others? Have you loved people for who they are or for what they represent in a dollar amount? Have you stopped and enjoyed the simplest things in life? Or do you always have to have the most extravagant lavish lifestyle in order to be happy? Do you measure your success by how much you have instead of by how much you give back to the community? Do you really feel like money can solve all your problems and give you the happiness you need?

Asking ourselves questions like these can help us analyze our lives and figure out if we are becoming too attached to our belongings. It can help us ground ourselves and realize that there is more to life than just what is tangible. Life is full of wealth, and by this I am referring to the wealth found in the simplest forms surrounding our everyday existence; Such as wealth of wisdom, wealth of love, wealth of beauty, wealth of happiness.

All of this wealth is at our reach, when we decide to find it within our hearts, within our true pure essence. Until we decide to become one with our Divine being, we will always long for this empty and shallow wealth that our material world has to offer; thus, causing us to live a life full of external satisfaction but an incomplete and lonely existence.

Life is an amazing journey so start seeking for the valuable heavenly treasures; the treasures that help the soul flourish into a transformed butterfly full of abundance and beauty. Use your talents and gifts to give back to the world so that your life may be full of love, happiness, satisfaction and gratitude.

Learn to measure your success by the good deeds you have made and not by the salary you earn, and finally give love to everyone you encounter because with love in our lives, our existence is full of joy and motivation to become better people.

The Essence of our Being

Author
Karla Solano

One of the biggest questions we might ask ourselves is who are we and why are we here? Well this is a question that for many centuries has provoked thought amongst the most recognized philosophers of all time.

Life as we know it was created from a Light source, a Divine source we call God.
We were created to his likeness. What this means is that just like we have traits from both of our physical parents such as the color of our eyes, our skin pigmentation, the texture of our hair as well as some of the personality traits; we too possess Divine traits that connect us to our Light source.

I know this might be hard to grasp for a lot of people because we are taught early on during our childhood to believe in a God that is separate from us, a Divine source that cannot be reached by our beliefs of being unworthy and beneath a Superior being. This whole concept of being separate from our Divine source has caused our world to be in a state of stagnant energy thus creating the appearance of disease, war, hate and starvation.
All of which are manifestations of the lack of love existing in our physical reality.

When we learn to recognize that we are just like our Divine source, we can find the hidden potential we have; and therefore unveil the truth that is within us to change not only our lives but the world around us.

What does it mean we are like our Divine source? This means that we are beings of light energy. We are pure by nature, with the potential to love unconditionally just like our Divine source; we are co-creators of life and we are infinite beings having a physical experience in a material world.

Understanding that we are infinite beings co-creating on a daily basis can help us realize that we have the same divine essence as our creator. You may ask yourself how we can be infinite beings if we are born and eventually experience death. Well, as infinite beings we are eternal. Our soul has been living lifetime after lifetime trying to find its purpose in life figuring out its way back to becoming whole again with its Divinity.

The soul is our essence an energy created by light. This essence has had many experiences in different bodies each time. And although the vessels (bodies) have been born and died over and over, the soul continues to exist taking all the information we gather in each lifetime, keeping all the spiritual treasures we have collected within our hearts.

This essence holds the key to answering all the questions about our infinite being; The records of our existence that can guide us to becoming one with our Light source and it is up to us to look within to find all the answers we seek.

Looking within is essential in finding our way back home to our Divine source. Our external experiences are a reflection of what we create in our minds; therefore we have the power to transform any situation into a positive or a negative one depending on how we choose to use our Divine energy. Meditation is a very effective way to connect with your inner divinity, quieting the mind for a few minutes each day can be of extreme importance in learning to recognize the inner wisdom we hold inside.

Connecting with our higher self during meditation is a process that can lead us to finding solutions to all of our physical experiences, thus, freeing us from all unnecessary circumstances, thoughts and people that can become obstacles in finding our true self. Once you meditate regularly you become more aware of your thoughts and you learn to observe instead of react to all the situations that come your way.

Observing and experiencing life with awareness becomes more of a natural way of living. All of a sudden you may start to notice that things which might have bothered you in the past become insignificant. You start to let go of anything that disturbs your well being and you begin to recognize the beauty and perfection that exists not only within yourself but all around you. Life as you knew it before is seen from a heightened perspective of love, pure joy and harmony.

This connection with life becomes the most primordial way of existing; the troubles dissipate without even having a chance to plant a seed of disharmony in your life because you start to allow your Divine essence to work through you, instead of allowing the ego to control your life. Allowing your Divine essence to guide you in everything you do will impact your life in such a way, that you will start to realize that you have not been living, you will see how dormant you have been through out your life and you will begin to become a co-creator with your Light source.

Co-creating is essential to our spiritual evolution, we have the power to have Divine thought and make it a reality in our physical world. How amazing is that? All you have to do is allow your Divine self to guide you in coming up with the most incredible idea and then you can start to design the plan of creation. The possibilities are endless once you enter this new way of seeing things from a higher self awareness. Life all of a sudden becomes easier to deal with because you are able to maintain a balanced emotional state allowing the Divine self to work through your vessel, thus manifesting perfection in everything you do.

The Light Within

Author
Karla Solano

The light within is the divine spark our creator blessed us with at the moment we were conceived. This divine spark is like a candle flame shining brightly within our hearts, guiding us in manifesting perfection from the inside out. This light is our true connection to the Divine and when we decide to follow the wrong path, or when we allow others to overshadow our existence we can dim this fragile light very quickly; thus threatening to lose ourselves in the shuffle.

When our light within dims, our external appearance changes as well; we begin to look stressed out, sick, unhappy and lifeless. There is a reason why they say that our eyes are the window to our soul; our eyes are a reflection which mirrors our inner most secret emotions. No matter how much we try to hide how we feel, our eyes will always tell the truth that we carry within. When we lose touch with the Divine spark, our eyes lose the purity and radiance that connects us to our infinite essence.

Unfortunately, we live most of our lives unaware about this inner light and we are constantly allowing it to be overshadowed by our external circumstances. Looking back at my life 2 ½ yrs ago, I can remember how the stress of the job I had at that time consumed me, while my marriage was destroying and sucking the life out of me. I had nowhere to turn to for peace and quiet. Going to work had become a nerve wrecking odyssey and going home was a dreadful, chaotic and draining experience on its own.

All of this was happening at the same time, making me feel desperate, out of control, and I felt as though I was trapped without a way out. Those circumstances destroyed me emotionally, and physically. I started to have heart problems due to the high levels of stress; I remember looking at myself in the mirror being only 31yrs old and feeling as though I had aged 10 yrs. I couldn’t recognize myself anymore, I looked like and empty shell and I felt like a lost soul. The glow in my eyes was not there anymore; I had turned inward while dealing with all of this turmoil because I didn’t want anyone to know what was going on in my life and this was the worst thing I could have done, because keeping all the problems inside was causing me to dim my light to an almost non-existent spark.

My life was upside down for a long time until I finally began to turn to my Divine essence for help; I began to look within for the courage and the strength to make the right choices that would benefit my well being. I finally came to the realization that the main priority was to pick up all the pieces of my soul or what was left of it and take a stand for what I believed was right for me. I no longer accepted the chaos in my life, I decided to confront the people that were making my life a living hell both at work and in my personal life, and giving myself the respect I deserved I took a chance to turn my life around.

It wasn’t until I decided to connect with my Divine essence that I realized that life was not meant to be lived in chaos and unhappiness. I came to terms with the fact that I had the power to change the situations in my life that were no longer serving a positive purpose in my existence. This connection to the Divine gave me strength I never knew I had to follow through with choices I never thought I could make. Amazingly enough, as I started to gain this inner strength and courage so did the light within me begin to shine brighter and brighter. It felt as though a heavy weight was being lifted off my back one pound at a time; and as each pound was lifted a piece of my soul was being put back making me whole again.

It was amazing to see how my life started to change, not only was I being transformed from the inside but my whole external reality began to turn around. The situation at my job changed completely for me as I was transferred to a different division where the environment was much more peaceful and my new supervisor was a sweet and loving person with no drama; I decided to put a stop to the suffering my marriage was causing me and I decided to take a stand for myself and let go of my emotional attachment to someone who did not know how to appreciate me. Letting go of that relationship was one of the hardest decisions I ever made, but now that I look back, I realize that it was the best choice I could have made for my well being.

The connection with my divinity helped me find myself again because I did not know who I was for a long time. My internal light began to shine so bright that it was showing the transformation in a very dramatic way to the point where people started to notice and would comment on how young, radiant and beautiful I looked, my environment also was transformed to a very peaceful and joyful living. I did not dread coming home anymore and I could actually breathe without my heart being broken. Peace and light became a strong presence in my existence; thus, helping me to remember to always keep that inner light switch ON.

You see, life is full of challenges and it is up to us to keep connected to our Divine essence so that we don’t ever lose ourselves to the people and circumstances that come our way. It is imperative to always be aware and keep our essence intact no matter how draining the circumstances become, because at the end of the day when all the chaos in our lives dissipates, we still are responsible for our own well being and we are the only ones that can and will pick up the pieces of our soul.

Emotional detachment

Author
Karla Solano

Years go by and life experiences seem to get more intense; it is as though becoming older meant that we have to be more resilient to emotional pain which by no means is this true. Every experience we go through brings a new lesson but as we go through the motions and live through the cycles of our existence, we only take as much as our hearts can handle.

We are fragile beings and our heartaches tend to linger with us for years before we decide to let them go one day. These scars create blockages in our heart chakra, thus making it almost impossible to open ourselves completely to new experiences. Our fear of getting hurt or the idea of not being in a reciprocal relationship can make it very difficult to connect with others in a balanced way. These emotional attachments to our past experiences hold us back and limit the way we give and receive love.

Being emotionally attached to people and circumstances hinder our ability to fully experience love, and yet being detached is one of the most difficult things to do. I find it very hard to detach myself from people who I have a strong connection with; it is strange but there are some people who come into our lives and sweep us off our feet in such a gentle way, that when you least expect it, you have already fallen for them. And while there is nothing wrong with giving our heart again to someone, it is important not to get lost in an emotional battle with ourselves.

Emotional detachment means to love and accept others in our lives without expectations, without limitations, and without judgment. Giving ourselves fully in the moment and letting go of the past and the future. Now, how easy is this to do? I don’t know anyone who has mastered this way of loving, and yet this is the only way to love in order to love without suffering.

Loving without attachment is beneficial because it allows relationships to grow without possessiveness, without being clingy, jealousy and with complete trust for one another. Relationships are much healthier, joyful and long lasting if experienced from this point of view. But the need of our ego to control, doesn’t allow us to express our true feelings for those we care about because of the fear of being rejected and exposed. Therefore, we rather keep on living a life of suffering wandering about the “what ifs” instead of learning to love and give without emotional attachment and in pure freedom; Which although difficult to undertake it is not impossible to achieve if we learn to meditate about loving and finding that inner connection with ourselves before attempting to love others.

Happiness

Author
Karla Solano

There are many times in our life when we feel as though we are floating on a high cloud full of joy and ecstasy, a high cloud where nothing can touch us or cause us pain. It is during moments like this when we are capable of tapping into a higher realm of existence, a higher realm where we are one with our true pure essence.

Experiencing this high state of bliss can bring forth abundance, radiance, health, beauty, peace and perfection from within; thus, enabling us to become channels of light which can be expanded to human kind. Maintaining a balanced sense of happiness is vital to our existence, therefore it is important to make a conscious effort to lead a life where we can bring joy to others and to ourselves.

Happiness is not only a feeling; it is also a state of mind. A state of mind that may seem hard to achieve sometimes especially when we experience turmoil going on all around us, such as the economic crisis we are going through, the loss of a loved one, or the loss of a job. All of these factors influence the way we feel and it can be challenging to maintain a smile on our faces. However, every difficult time we face gives us an opportunity to look within and search for things that can bring bliss to our lives.

There is so much to be happy about such as acknowledging the fact that you are a being full of life, health, and love. Learning to appreciate the small things that take place in our lives every day can make a big difference as to how we connect with the world, these small things could be something as simple as receiving a hug from a child, getting a smile from a stranger as we walk the street, Listening to a song we love, or just by enjoying a walk in the park on a sunny afternoon. No matter how “insignificant” these things may seem to us they are very meaningful and can brighten up our day.

The key is to be able to find joy in every situation we experience and have faith in the fact that “it too shall pass”, no matter how difficult and chaotic our lives become we can always count on the fact that after every storm there is a bright sunshine waiting to be discovered.

The 7 blooming stages of our soul

Author
Karla Solano

We are born on this earth to re-align our physical, emotional and spiritual selves. Once these 3 aspects of our lives are integrated into one, we finally become one with our Divine source; therefore allowing us to fully blossom as a divine being.

There are seven blooming stages that one must achieve during the path to enlightenment; each stage is represented by one quality of our Divine creator that we must overcome in order to reach a higher state of awareness.

The blooming process begins the moment we realize that we carry within us all the divine attributes of our creator. But unless we start living this truth, we won’t fully comprehend how perfect and free we really are.

Stage No. 1 Love & Compassion
This aspect of our Divine creator is represented by the pink color and by the rose quartz.

This important stage takes place when we learn to accept and love ourselves unconditionally for who we really are. It is not until we become fully aware of the infinite power love has, that we can come to the realization that unless we truly love and respect ourselves we will never be able to love any living thing.

This stage allows us to become deserving of all the loving energy the universe has to offer and accept it to be a reality in our life.

Stage No. 2 Forgiveness & Tolerance
This aspect of our Divine creator is represented by the purple color and by the amethyst quartz.

In this stage we learn to forgive ourselves for any damage we allowed to enter into our lives, for any wrong we may have caused to the people we interact with and most importantly we learn to fully forgive and let go of any pain others may have caused us. Letting go of all the hurt that is within us is vital to our soul’s evolution.

Accepting others for who they are is a very basic and essential part of this process. It is imperative to make a conscious effort not to want to change others. The change must come from within us so that we can fully appreciate everyone for who they are. And as a result become the change we want to see manifested in the world outside of us.

Stage No. 3 Peace and Unity with our higher self
This aspect of our Divine creator is represented by the white color and the selenite crystal.

This stage of our soul is when we re-connect with our higher self and we become aware of the fact that a peaceful emotional balance is necessary to maintain a healthy, positive environment around us.

At this stage we become in touch with our divine nature and allow our inner guidance to show us the way to our life’s purpose. Learning to trust our higher self can help us go through the toughest situations in life, with the knowing that everything has a reason for being and that it will all work itself out according to our divine plan.

Stage No. 4 Liberation & Divine power
This aspect of our Divine creator is represented by the royal blue color and the lapis lazuli gemstone.

This stage of our soul takes place, when we liberate ourselves from all that has caused us to be slaves. Most of the time, we don’t realize that we are the only ones causing us to be “stuck” in a situation, in a relationship or in any experience for that matter.

We have the power to control our feelings and make positive changes in our lives. Coming to terms with the fact that no one else can live our life for us, is crucial in freeing ourselves from the obstacles created by our own limitations.
When we become aware of the Divine power within us, we can get all the answers and solutions to all of our life’s troubles.

Stage No. 5 Truth & Concentration
This aspect of our Divine creator is represented by the green color and by emeralds.

This stage of our soul occurs when we realize that the only truth is that we are destined to be happy. We are meant to live a peaceful life full of love, beauty, health and abundance; therefore, learning to focus our attention in all the perfection that exists within us, can guide us in becoming more in tune with our own inner beauty and allow it to be manifested in everything we do on a daily basis.

Our lives are full with perfect moments that we don’t seem to notice because we are too busy paying attention to the negative circumstances in our own worlds. Learning to make a conscious effort to notice the perfection around us and how everything in our lives is done in Divine order can help us live a more fulfilling life.

Stage no. 6 Grace & Abundance
This aspect of our Divine creator is represented by the orange/red color and by ruby crystals.

At this stage our soul maintains a state of divine grace at all times of our life. This is when we begin to rise above and maintain a calm attitude about every situation that we are faced with. This is when we learn to keep our thoughts in order so that we can take the right actions to solve any problems we encounter.

This higher state of being allows our soul to bring into our lives all the abundance that is in the universe for us to enjoy; thus the illusion of lack completely disappears. During this process we discover that we come from one Divine source and this truth sets us free of all the obstacles that get in the way of our spiritual evolution.

Stage No. 7 Enlightenment & Wisdom
This aspect of our Divine creator is represented by the color gold and by the precious gold mineral.

This is the final stage of evolution for our soul. At this stage our soul reaches the highest point of enlightenment and it finds the Nirvana state where it is capable to transcend all physical, emotional and mental boundaries; there are no limits to what can be possible and our soul becomes one with the Divine source and with all that exists.

This is the ultimate goal of our spiritual evolution but this can only be achieved once we have mastered all the different blooming stages of our soul.

Dealing with Anger

Author
Karla Solano

Anger is a very poisonous feeling that has the power to blind us; and there is nothing more harmful than to allow this emotion to take over our life. There are days in our lives when we feel as though all we get is curved balls thrown at us from all different directions, making us react quickly to the situations at hand; Thus causing us to get stressed, disturbed and frustrated. During moments like these, it’s important to recognize the cause of our anger so that we can reflect on it and allow it to be released.

It’s indispensable to get the angry emotions out of our system but it is appropriate to release them in a non-conventional way. Such as walking away from the situation or the person causing us to be annoyed and taking time to breathe and calm ourselves down before confronting the source of our emotion. Once we have allowed the anger to dissipate we can return to deal with the people or situations that upset us and communicate in a diplomatic and calm way. This is the only way to deal with the source of our anger, doing otherwise will only add more fuel to the fire and create more chaos in our existence.

Keeping angry feelings pent up inside not only blocks our clear vision but also cripples our ability to do things with love and enthusiasm. Our well being depends on our ability to keep composed when people and circumstances throw us off balance, failure to do so results in disease, war, hate and loneliness.

We have the ability to maintain a balanced emotional state of mind no matter what life throws our way. But in order to do so, it is essential to find the interconnection between us and our outside reality so that we can see beyond the physical state of mind. Therefore, being able to transcend the mundane emotions wanting to control and obstruct our personal growth.

It is necessary to realize that all the experiences we live through are momentary and just like the sun always shines after a stormy day; our life too will go back to its natural state which is calmness and joy. Whether the circumstances bring us happiness, anger, sadness, peace or chaos; these experiences will shine a new light on our developmental path, guiding us in truly discovering who we are. So learn to embrace all the emotions caused by the physical reality and take each experience and emotion as a learning measure to becoming one with yourself and with human kind.

Following our instincts

Author
Karla Solano

Many times in our lives we are put in situations where we need to make tough choices. Such moments can bring a sense of confusion, stress and vulnerability especially when we allow the people in our lives to manipulate us into making a decision.

It is human nature to always analyze things from the more logical point of view, however, it is of extreme importance to measure all the pros and cons of any particular circumstance and then take time to quiet the mind and allow the heart to guide us.

There will always be a battle between the logical mind and the gut instincts we feel deep in our heart; therefore, it is imperative to learn to discern from what our ego wants us to do versus the truth coming from our inner wisdom.

Our mind will always want to protect us from past painful experiences, which is why it is common to feel a sense of resistance towards any insight coming from within our hearts. The mind only remembers selective information about the internal issues we maybe wanting to overcome; subsequently our instincts are usually overshadowed by the strong stubbornness of our logic.

The truth is, that no matter how convincing our logical point of view may seem, there is always another part of our body that we need to pay attention to; our inner guidance. Our inner guidance is that voice within that is always whispering in our ear letting us know which path to take in life; nonetheless, we tend not to listen to this voice because it usually tells us the opposite of what our ego wants us to do.

Life could be so much easier if we allowed this inner guidance to flourish from within and direct us in the right direction. But we get in our own way, placing unnecessary obstacles that impede our happiness and ability to live a life free of suffering. Understanding that life is not meant to be difficult and that we have all the answers within to make the choices that best suits our personal growth is paramount to leading a life full of grace, peace, perfection, love and happiness.

The best way to connect with this inner wisdom is to allow time for self discovery. By this I refer to the concept of creating a sacred time and space in our lives, a place where we can be quiet and deeply unite with our higher self on a daily basis. Looking within is the only way to find a truthful answer to all of our life’s trials & tribulations.

Learn to listen to your inner guidance, for it will never steer you in the wrong direction and it will always make sure the choices you make are the best ones that will allow you to fulfill your soul’s divine purpose.

No Expectations

Author
Karla Solano

We have been conditioned from childhood to have high expectations in every experience we go through. So much so, that very often we get lost in our own perception of how everything we go through should be a certain way. This way of thinking is very tricky and it can cause a lot of disillusion, especially when things don’t go as we planned it in our minds.

As human kind, we are used to getting ahead of ourselves, our brain is always playing different scenarios; getting us all worked up by imagining how things should or shouldn’t be. This behavior distorts our reality so much that we actually cause our own suffering and distress. This suffering takes place because we allow our minds to control our emotions and blow things out of proportion; with the false conviction that people and situations will abide by our egotistical point of view.

I am sure you can recall many moments where you have made up a fairy tale story about the people in your life, simply because they had a nice gesture towards you or because they acted a certain way. So you begin to fantasize and dream about all of the possibilities of what the outcome of your relationship with them will be.

Or what about the times when you put someone in a pedestal, just to find out that they were not who “you” thought they were, even though they never gave you a reason for you to put them so high up in the sky. You still allowed your mind to get your life out of focus. Thus, causing confusion and deception; just think about it! How many times have you caught yourself being so confident about something, telling the world how you know everything is the way you perceive it, but the truth is that it is all a false reality created by your own ego.

It is important not to let our minds run wild speculating and creating unreal scenarios, because allowing this false sense of conviction is very detrimental to our well being. We are impressionable beings and as such, we need to be very careful not to live in a lie. The worst thing about allowing ourselves to have high expectations about our experiences and others is that, we tend to blame everything and everyone else when things don’t go as we expected.

It is very useful to just let life take its natural course, by getting ourselves out of our own way and allowing the Divine source to take action in each situation we are faced with. There is no need to play movie director and obstruct the rhythm of our lives. Taking this approach will make it much easier to cope with everything and everyone that come our way. Thus, helping us stop with the obsession about what the future and people hold for us. Every time you see your mind wandering away in a fairy tale story, just simply allow the thoughts to take place and slowly begin to release the need to control all the situations in your life.

One thing very important to understand is that everything happens the way it needs to. Whether we like the outcome or not is irrelevant, the essential thing to consider is that life will happen according to our divine purpose. Therefore, the universe will make sure that the experiences and people we encounter are right for us at each specific stage of our lives so that we can learn the lessons that will guide us through our personal evolution.

There are no coincidences and everything happens for a reason, so why obsess about why things are taking place the way they are? Just let them be. Sooner or later life will unfold before your eyes, revealing the truth about each experience and the people in our existence. Focusing our attention in the journey instead of the destination is the best way to let go of the need to always makeup our own ending to the story of our lives.

The race against time

Author
Karla Solano

We live in a world where time is the main ruler of our existence on this planet. We are always running against it, causing us to be in a state of frenzy at all times. We function at such an accelerated rate that most of the time we are put in situations where we need to be reactive instead of being proactive. This fight against time has caused human kind to forget how to stop and enjoy the quiet times that come our way.

Our demanding environment and battle against time are affecting every aspect of our lives. We have become accustomed to living in such a state of neurosis caused by the stress of never having enough time to do the things we need to do at work and our personal experiences. This constant race is self destructive and it is a bomb ticking threatening to explode and throw our mind, body and spirit off balance.

Time is an illusion of our physical existence; created by our need to control and impede human kind’s spiritual evolution, an illusion that is ruled by self imposed limitations. Although we cannot stop the minutes and the seconds, we have control over how we can make the illusion of time work for us.The only way to make it work for us is by slowing down and taking time to breathe and enjoy each second with awareness, being open to the idea that rushing can only bring stress and heart problems, depriving us of the gift to live the present moment in a balanced and harmonious way.

Haven’t you noticed that when you do things in a rush, there are always mistakes taking place? And what about the misunderstandings, the anger, fatigue and frustrations that come along with this race against time? Have you stopped to wonder if it’s worth all the aggravations? When you can easily choose to quiet your mind daily to take the time to calmly manage your priorities, and breathe properly while getting all of your tasks done.If you have never tried it then it is time to start.

Living in a state of emergency only creates more chaos and does not help with getting things done faster or better. It only makes things worse. Life is too precious so do not waste your life resisting time and rushing against it. There is always enough time to get everything accomplished, especially when you realize that we are infinite beings; and as infinite beings, we have the capability to transcend any physical limitation such as time. How amazing is it to come to terms with the idea that we have the power within us to beat the external obstacles that time constraints present to us every day? You are probably wondering how this can be possible, since time is very real in our physical reality.

Well, all I can say is that the only way to transcend the limitations that time causes is through seeking the answers from within our soul; connecting deeply with all that exists within. Our lives will become expressions of daily miracles when we start to focus in all the perfection and graceful divine order in which our lives unfold; there is no illusion of time and space when we allow our inner guidance to flow through us, showing us the way. This limitation slowly begins to dissipate. Thus, freeing us from the tie that binds our soul to this dual reality in which we live in.

Loving who we are

Author
Karla Solano

We live in a society reigned by superficial gratification; and it seems as though we have become so obsessed with the idea of eternal youth and with the supermodel syndrome that we have lost the perception of what beauty really is. Unfortunately, this obsession with our physical appearance is constantly being fueled by magazines, the media and our everyday environment.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to maintain a younger look; therefore, taking care of our bodies through daily exercise, eating healthy foods and keeping a balanced state of mind is key to a healthy living. However, we have become so entangled in the fierce less competition about who can have the most plastic surgeries; that we have a distorted point of view when it comes down to our idea of what beauty actually is.

The perfection we seek in our outside reality will never be able to give us the long term satisfaction we long for because anything that comes from our exterior world will always be a momentary thing and it will eventually deteriorate.

Accepting and loving ourselves shouldn’t be this difficult and becoming dependent on a doctor to alter the way we look is not normal and it goes against the laws of nature. I know this is a sensitive topic and most people would not want to hear it; but I must say that perfection, beauty and eternal youth already exist within our being. When you allow your inner beauty, and happiness to radiate through you, there is no limit as to how young, radiant and beautiful you can look.

It is a proven fact; our external appearance is a window that can reveal how we feel deep inside. If your life has become dull, empty and sad, you will send signals of imperfection and unattractiveness. On the other hand, if you lead a happy, loving life you will radiate beautiful energy and no matter what your physical body type is, people will find you beautiful and will want to have you in their lives.

The truth is that we are eternal beings and as such, we contain within us the key to eternal youth, perfect beauty and the healing power to restore our own health. This is a privilege we have inherited from our divine creator; but unless we start connecting with that inner, divine essence, we will never be able to access all of these amazing gifts

Searching within is the only way to unlock these truths; through meditation and self discovery we will not only be able to find the truth about our existence but also we will be able to unveil the beauty and perfection we have forgotten about in the depths of our soul.

Tips on how to unlock the key:

1) Allow the beauty within to radiate through you, instead of focusing on the external and perishable appearance

2) Be kind, loving and compassionate towards others

3) Lead a harmonious life and always see the positive side to every experience

4) Do not take yourself or life so seriously, find the time to laugh. I cannot emphasize it enough. Laughter is what keeps our soul alive, and our bodies healthy and young. So don’t’ ever stop finding a reason to laugh

5) Create an emotionally balanced environment for yourself

6) Be good to your body since it is a sacred temple which carries the soul

7) Make a conscious effort to feed your body properly, without filling it up with toxins

8) Live with awareness by taking time to notice how perfect and beautiful you are deep down inside, even if your looks are not measuring up to society’s distorted standards of perfection

9) Stop judging yourself and others.
